Mobile Weighbridge

Mobile Weighbridge

A mobile electronic weighbridge (or foundation less truck scale) is a self-contained, modular weighing system designed for rapid deployment and frequent relocation. Unlike traditional pit or pit less scales, a mobile weighbridge features a built-in steel bottom framework that directly substitutes for a permanent concrete foundation. The entire system—including the weighing platform, bottom frame, load cells, and ramps—rests on a flat, smooth, hard surface (like a well-compacted Plain Cement Concrete or PCC bed) rather than a complex Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) structure. This design makes mobile weighbridges the industry standard for short-term projects, such as mining exploration, road construction, crop harvesting hubs, and temporary logistics yards.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Product Description

Core Advantages

  • Zero RCC Foundation Work: Eliminates weeks of concrete curing. It requires only a flat, level, hard surface to support the steel base framework.
  • Ultra-Fast Setup: While a standard weighbridge takes weeks to construct, a modular mobile weighbridge can be fully installed, calibrated, and operational within 2 to 4 hours.
  • High Portability: The entire structure can be disassembled, lifted via a crane or forklift, loaded onto a trailer, and re-installed at a completely different project site.
  • Integrated Steel Ramps: Most models come pre-equipped with bolt-on steel entry and exit ramps, removing the need to build permanent concrete approach ramps.
  • Cost Salvage: Since the structure is not cast into the ground, 100% of your asset investment can be moved to your next operational site without leaving expensive concrete work behind.

Structural Engineering Layout

A mobile system relies on a structural “sandwich” layer to function without shifting under heavy vehicle braking:

  • Bottom Frame: A heavy fabricated steel base matrix that spreads out the downward load across the ground surface, preventing the scale from sinking or tipping.
  • Load Cell Sub-assembly: 4 to 8 highly sealed digital load cells (typically IP68 or IP69K waterproof rating) are mounted directly between the top weighing platform and the bottom frame.
  • Top Deck: Crafted from high-tensile mild steel with an anti-skid plate design
